The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Roelly Winklaar won the 2013 IFBB Chicago Pro Bodybuilding Championships. A pre-contest frontrunner, the 2012 Chicago Pro winner IFBB Pro Lionel Beyeke took 2nd place. IFBB Pro Bill Wilmore finished in 3rd place. IFBB Pro Essa Obaid landed in 4th place, followed by IFBB Pro Justin Compton, making his pro debut after earning an IFBB Pro card in the Heavyweight Class at the 2012 NPC National Bodybuilding Championships, in the 5th place spot.

The "So What?":
As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (September 26-29) in Las Vegas to face reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath. The 2012 Chicago Pro Bodybuilding Championships was the city's first pro bodybuilding contest since the 1994 IFBB Chicago Pro Invitational won by IFBB Pro Mike Francois.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Ironically, IFBB Pro Craig Richardson, who had been reportedly considering a switch to the 212 Division this year -- and probably should have made the shift -- didn't place in the Open Division's Top 10 at the Illinois competition. A late entry to the Chi-town show (who last competed at the 2012 Masters Olympia where placed 12th behind winner IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson, the 2013 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champ), IFBB Pro Lee Banks landed just out of the Top 5 in 6th place.
