The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" latest roundup includes final bits and pieces of 2013 IFBB Pro League news.

The "So What?":
Over the weekend, 212 Division IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino and 2013 Arnold Classic Ms. Bikini International IFBB Pro India Paulino embarked on a "road show" appearance tour that made a stop in Mumbai, India, to attend a nutrition-store grand opening, gym-training sessions, autograph signings and other special events. Staying closer to home, east coasters 2011 IFBB Pro Arnold Classic Europe Winner IFBB Pro Victor Martinez and IFBB Pro Marco Rivera made an appearance at a sports-nutrition store in Astoria, NY. Legendary 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman signed autographs for fans at a few shops across Miami.
Four-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler also left Las Vegas for Florida to visit the headquarters of his sports nutrition sponsor/manufacturer, where he stopped by the company gym and also participated in a live online Q&A with fans. British IFBB Pro Zack Khan re-signed his media contract. The prior weekend, 3-time Ms. Figure Olympia IFBB Pro Nicole Wilkins was the special guest-emcee at the NPC Excalibur Bodybuilding Championships in Culver City, CA, which marked the final competition for the National Physique Committee's 2013 contest season.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: As 2013 winds to a close, many IFBB Pro League athletes have made their last guest appearances, and a select set is preparing for the first IFBB Pro League contest in the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series of the 2014 calendar year- the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Championships in Ohio. Hence, those brave athletes dieting through the holiday season have posted contest-prep updates, including IFBB Pro Cedric McMillan (weighing in at 292 lbs.) and IFBB Pro Aaron Clark (toting 230 lbs.). Although neither is competing in Columbus, IFBB Pro Dennis James (coach to IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay, a.k.a. "Big Ramy") gave an update on another client, IFBB Pro Fouad Abiad, posting, "Fouad's off-season is going as planned and, at 300 lbs. in the a.m., he is big as a house. Look for Fouad being bigger than ever in 2014. He is ultra motivated and is looking forward to his contest prep and being back on stage to display his new gains." 2014, here we come.
