The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" latest roundup includes a pro who coaches and pros with kids.

The "So What?": IFBB Pro Dennis James is back on the scene working as a contest-prep coach for athletes like IFBB Pro Toney Freeman, IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson and the 2012 IFBB Amateur Olympia winner and now IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy"). Still on a quest for an Olympia title on the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series circuit, IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf, who might also tackle the Arnold Classic Europe in Madrid this year, signed a new 3-year sponsorship deal with a different sports nutrition company. Congrats to proud dad IFBB Pro David Henry, who welcomed a new baby girl into his family.

Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Lionel Beyeke made a guest-poser appearance at the NPC/IFBB California Governor's Cup Bodybuilding and Figure Championships in Sacramento, where there was a seminar paneled by IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo. At the NPC Baltimore Gladiator Championships, which hosted an Armed Forces Division, 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler was a featured guest. IFBB Pro Fred Smalls took the stage in Maryland and even brought his kids onstage to join in the show.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: IFBB Pro Dennis James announced his retirement at the 2010 Olympia Weekend, only to make a comeback at the 2012 Masters Olympia contest. While the "O" title eluded James, his coaching has led athletes to Top 5 placings at the recent IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic, so he might help another athlete grab a Sandow someday.
