The "So What?": In recent weeks, with the holiday season in motion, a stack of IFBB Pro athletes appeared at the First-Annual "Hour With A Pro" Charity Event. At Powerhouse Gym in Syosset, New York (referred to as the "East Coast Mecca," an answer to the "West Coast Mecca" that is Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, California), lucky winners participated in training sessions alongside 2011 Arnold Classic Europe Champion IFBB Pro Victor Martinez, 3-time 202/212 Olympia Showdown Winner IFBB Pro Kevin English, 2013 Women's Physique Olympia Winner IFBB Pro Dana Linn Bailey, IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino, IFBB Pro Jon Delarosa, IFBB Pro Marco Rivera, IFBB Pro Juan Morel, IFBB Pro Yeshaira Robles, IFBB Pro Angelica Nebbia, IFBB Pro Bethany Cisternino, IFBB Pro Patty Zariello and others. IFBB Pro Evan Centopani was also spotted at the event, for which proceeds benefitted Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Making the sports-nutrition-shop appearance rounds: IFBB Hall of Fame athlete, 3-time Mr. Olympia Runner-Up (to 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Lee Haney), first-ever IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships Winner and retired IFBB Pro Rich Gaspari visited a spot in New Port News, Virginia, while 2-time 212 Olympia Showdown Champion IFBB Pro Flex Lewis hit a store in Braden, Florida, for an autograph signing.
Andrew Oye's Verdict: Landing in the 8th place spot on the 2013 IFBB Pro League Olympia Qualification Series Rankings (won by 3-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath), IFBB Pro Jonathan Delarosa last competed at the 2013 IFBB Toronto Pro Bodybuilding Championships (where he took 3rd place). The east-coaster who earned his IFBB Pro card by winning the Heavyweight Class at the 2011 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships just posted a December off-season update. At 5'7", he's toting 280 pounds and uploaded a training video squatting 495 pounds.
