The Item: IFBB Pro League Contest Results, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Just Announced: Over the weekend, IFBB Pro Branch Warren claimed another pro victory, winning 1st place in the Open Division at the 2014 IFBB Dallas Pro Bodybuilding Championships, Europa Super Show in Texas. IFBB Pro Fouad Abiad won the 2nd place runner-up spot. "World's Strongest Bodybuilder," powerlifter IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson powered his way to 3rd place. Jumping from 9th place last year, IFBB Pro Jojo Ntiforo took 4th place. IFBB Pro An Nguyen settled into 5th place. The remaining field: IFBB Pro Daniel Toth (6th), IFBB Pro Eddy Wilson (7th), IFBB Pro Vladimir Sizov (8th), IFBB Pro Sergey Shelestov (9th), IFBB Pro Bill Wilmore (10th), IFBB Pro Timmy Gaillard (11th), IFBB Pro Zaher Moukahal (12th), and former NFL Pro football player, IFBB Pro Malcolm Marshall (13th).

The "So What?": As reported in "Andrew Oye's Pro Muscle Report," the IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series Point System (1st automatic qualification, 2nd - 4 Points, 3rd - 3 Points, 4th - 2 Points, 5th - 1 Point) applies to IFBB Pro League athletes' eligibility to compete at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend (September 18-21) in Las Vegas to face reigning Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath. Also at the Europa Games Get Fit & Sports Expo: a seminar with 8-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Ronnie Coleman, an obstacle course challenge, martial arts, tae kwon do, wrestling, NPC amateur bodybuilding, powerlifting, arm wrestling, grappling (won by UFC fighter Ryan Benoit and Bellator MMA fighter Jason Samson), Super Fight Weekend (kickboxing and pro MMA fights), and the Europa Throwdown (CrossFit).

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Last year, the Dallas Pro Championships Open Division was won by Branch Warren's fellow Texan and 2014 Arnold Classic Brasil Champ IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo, who did not defend the title in his backyard. Firefighter Kuclo is a nice guy fighting to extinguish the fire of doubt. He just returned from the IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Rio de Janeiro, amid furor that perhaps IFBB Pro Lionel Beyeke deserved his spot. At last year's Europa Dallas Super Show, Kuclo faced the heat of those who thought runner-up IFBB Pro Essa Obaid was the winner; therefore, it was wise to avoid Warren's fight with the others. 2-time Arnold Classic Champion Branch Warren's physique is showing the toll of heavy training, but, as long as he is placing near the top of the pack, the tough-as-nails Texan seems determined to stay in the game.
