The Item: Career Updates, Special Appearances, Andrew Oye's IFBB Pro Athletes Roundup

The Scoop: Recently Reported: IFBB Pro League athletes had career updates or made recent guest appearances at various sports, bodybuilding, physique and fitness events. The latest "Andrew Oye's Pro-Muscle Report" Pro Athletes Roundup focuses on the annual Pennsylvania presentation that includes a posse of prominent pros posing in Pittsburgh.
The "So What?": The NPC/IFBB Pittsburgh Championships has become known for corralling some of the best from the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness for gest-posing appearances on a yearly basis. This year's all-star guest lineup included reigning 3-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Phil Heath, 2008 Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Dexter Jackson (4-time Arnold Classic Champion, 2012 Masters Olympia Champion), IFBB Pro Mamdouh Elssbiay (a.k.a. "Big Ramy," 2013 New York Pro Champion), 2-time Arnold Classic Champ IFBB Pro Branch Warren, 2011 Arnold Classic Europe Winner IFBB Pro Victor Martinez, and 2-time Arnold Classic Winner IFBB Pro K. Greene.

Also spotted taking in the show in Pennsylvania over the weekend: 4-time Mr. Olympia IFBB Pro Jay Cutler, 8-time Ms. Fitness Olympia and 5-time Ms. Fitness International IFBB Pro Adela Garcia, 2-time Olympia 212 Showdown Champion IFBB Pro Flex Lewis, IFBB Pro Guy Cisternino, IFBB Pro Brian Yersky, IFBB Pro Dennis James, the contest emcee IFBB Pro Bob Cicherillo and 2012 Arnold Classic Europe Winner IFBB Pro Shawn Rhoden, who had been scheduled to guest-pose but was still hobbling around on crutches thanks to a broken foot he incurred last month.

Pittsburgh Championships contest results: first-ever Olympia Physique Showdown Winner IFBB Pro Mark Anthony Wingson from Las Vegas, Nevada, won the Physique Division, IFBB Pro Camala Rodriguez from Colorado won the Figure Division, and IFBB Pro Yeshaira Robles from New York won the Bikini Division.

Andrew Oye's Verdict: Many of the headlining guests had returned from appearances at last weekend's Arnold Classic Brasil (won by IFBB Pro Steve Kuclo) in Rio de Janeiro, including Heath, Jackson, and Elssbiay. Big Ramy, who recovered from a recent respiratory infection, was well enough to guest-pose in Pittsburgh but the illness had already interrupted his contest prep; hence, there have been conflicting reports and speculation is growing that he might be unable to defend his title at the upcoming IFBB New York Pro (May 17) -- something many fans were anticipating. Though not confirmed, if that is the case, a prime IFBB Pro Olympia Qualification Series spot at Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend may go to a new winner. On a side note, the promoter had announced, right after the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, that IFBB Pro Dennis Wolf, winner of the 2014 IFBB Pro Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championships, would join the guest lineup in Pittsburgh but he was absent from the event.
